Ontario is updating the Accident Benefits coverage included in all auto insurance policies, effective July 1, 2026. These updates are intended to give you more flexibility to tailor your coverage to your needs.
Accident Benefits offer financial and medical support if you’re injured in a motor vehicle accident, regardless of fault. Under the new framework, some benefits will remain included in every Ontario auto insurance policy, while others will be optional.
